About Shannon… Shannon Ahern grew up in South Texas and then moved to Southern California where she attended a liberal arts university and graduated with a BA in Cultural Anthropology. She then went on to work as an Associate Photo Editor for a national magazine where she helped produce over 500 celebrity photo shoots. While working with so many talented and creative people she discovered a passion for design and gardening. After freelance work as a producer she decided to get her hands dirty and volunteered at The Huntington Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California. Following more freelance design work she moved to San Antonio, Texas where she lives with her husband, two children and loyal Labrador.
