As I may have mentioned before, I have a slight obsession with Totes! I haven’t figured out why yet, but I have always been drawn to anything with handles, and seem to have somehow obtained quite a collection. So, whether you are using them for a trip to the grocery store, as a diaper bag [...]

Lately, I have been looking for pendant lighting for an upcoming powder room project and found so many fabulous ones, the choice became far more difficult than I expected. Pendant lighting these days is incredible — very much like works of art! Below, are only a few that caught my eye. I also included some [...]

As I have mentioned in a previous blog, a little side project of mine is doing flower arrangements for the salon, Twirl. So, here are a couple of photos of the last “arrangements” (arrangements, I am using loosely), as well as some for my own home. A spring look for the salon Some fun little [...]

I know I have mentioned Thompson & Hanson before but with a recent visit to Houston I am re-inspired (is that a word?). Anyway, it’s an amazing garden store and attached to it is a lovely little cafe, called Tiny Boxwood’s. The entrance to Tiny Boxwood’s from the garden store area Eyeing these for a [...]

I love estate sales and try to visit one at least every other week. I would visit one every week, but I do have to create some boundaries to my collecting. My recent finds were these three glass hurricanes in the garage portion of the estate sale. If you are not an avid estate sale [...]
The Bold Stripes Of The French Rivera

While researching outdoor furniture this season, I keep running across big bold stripes. Very fun and very reminiscent of the French Rivera, (i.e. Alfred Hitchcock’s, To Catch A Thief). It’s sophistication with a bit of playfulness. I found this look at both Target and Ikea.
Visiting The Antique Rose Emporium

Being a huge rose fan, I decided to visit The Antique Rose Emporium. It was inspiring! Some, like the “Highway 290 Pink Buttons”, are perfect for small beds because they grow up to 2 feet. In contrast, the “Cecile Brunner” or the “Dortmund” can grow up to 30 feet. These can make excellent hedges. You would [...]

I visited the Cactus and Succulent Show and Sale yesterday, happening at the San Antonio Botanical Garden. It was incredible to see all the different varieties! I am a huge cacti fan because of their sculptural element, and think they are some of the most amazing plants out there. A sea of succulents. Another endless sea of [...]
